About

Laura Gallop is a Cornish cinematographer drawn to images with depth, atmosphere, and a carefully shaped tonal range. Working across narrative, documentary, music, and commercial projects, her cinematography is defined by a restrained, story-led approach where lighting and composition are crafted in close dialogue with the idea or emotion at the heart of a film.

Originally trained in fine art, Laura began her career in lighting as a spark and gaffer, developing a deep technical understanding of light that continues to inform her intuitive approach to cinematography.

Her short film Blackout received a nomination at the BSC New Cinematographer’s Night, and her work has screened internationally. She has collaborated with brands and artists including Puma, ASOS, Neutrogena, Vaseline, AJ Tracey, and Discovery (ID).

Known for her calm presence on set and collaborative approach, Laura focuses on creating considered, emotionally grounded images that allow performance and story to breathe.
